A very powerful vibration could be felt at Sri Govinda Dham in Australia on last Tuesday, when the energy started to gain momentum for the anniversary celebration of the most important event for us that has ever graced this planet: the divine advent of His Divine Grace Srila Bhakti Sundar Govinda Dev-Goswami Maharaj.

The whole temple was filled with beautiful decorations that were put together with pure crystal devotion. Srila Govinda Maharaj's vyasasan bloomed with the most exquisite flower arrangement that seemed to be growing from Sri Gurudev's chair itself. While in Mahaprabhu's kitchen the most incredible feast seemed to be almost self-manifesting with all the devotees coming to contribute and share their service with full humility and devotion.

As the devotees gathered for the program an explosive kirtan erupted that shook everyone to the core, transporting us to the lotus feet of Srila Gurudev where his incredible mercy could be felt pouring down upon us. Then the kirtan wound up with a glorious "Ki Jaya!" that left everyone feeling completely ecstatic as all paid dandabat pranams with bursting hearts.

Then a number of the devotees gave heartfelt talks about their personal connections with Srila Govinda Maharaj, and how they came to surrender to such an incredibly divine line as the Parampara of Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math.

The mood amongst the devotees seemed to be synonymous as each gave their glorifications, sharing their own unique and personal experiences they've had with Srila Guru Maharaj. Each reflected upon the supreme gift held in the heart of our Divine Master who is so dedicated in distributing the absolutely priceless connection to take us back home to the topmost realm of the spiritual world, from where He has descended.

A common conception that flowed through all who spoke was an immense feeling of gratitude to Srila Govinda Dev-Goswami Maharaj and his disciples, our Godbrothers and Godsisters who help to give us the realisation of how important it is to have their association in our devotional lives. As it is only through their love and devotion for Sri Guru and Sri Gauranga that we can have a tangible connection to our beloved Srila Gurudeva and the transcendental service world.

Guru Arati then began with the harmonious mood of love and devotion concentrated towards the centre, while individuals in their own time approached the vyasasan to offer their respects in loving surrender.

Bhoga arati flowed into midday arati, which then erupted into a raging kirtan winding the program up to its grand finale.

Afterwards, all of the devotees and guests gathered outside on the veranda, where a four-piece devotee band gave a special performance, singing rhythmic praises to Srila Govinda Maharaj, as everyone began to honour the grand prasadam feast.

An indescribable day is all that really can be said at the end of this festival. And then when one considers the global congregation all celebrating this event of sublime love for our spiritual Master, one can only feel complete awe and inspiration to continue on this glorious path!!!!!!!!!
