"Srila A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada once said, 'The hippies are our best customers.' While some thirty-five years have past, the truth of this statement resonated throughout this year’s Gathering in the hundreds who joined with us in the chanting, bhoga preparation, Prasadam serve out and campground work." - Sripad Nyasi Maharaj

"Some might just describe it as a big hippie festival, but there are a lot more than just hippies there. There are hippies, all sorts of artists, wanderers, punks, various types of spiritual people, a few weirdoes and crazies, and a smattering of straights like me, and many cool, interesting people that are difficult to categorize. Everyone calls each other 'brother' or 'sister', and you hear a lot of shouts of 'lovin' you!'" - Damien

This crowd of over five-thousand people are coming together for the 4th of July annual rainbow ritual.

"Thousands upon thousands deeply appreciated the quality of Prasad preparations lovingly, freely and happily distributed by the devotees of Srila Bhakti Sundar Govinda Dev-Goswami Maharaj. Many expressed to us that they found in our Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Maha Sankirttan mission and respective Simply Wonderful Krishna Kitchen a mood of service and a spirit of happy dedication which set us apart from all others. This vision was a natural product of a foundational and binding element that pervaded the spirit of the Gathering: a sincere aspiration for selfless service." - Sripad Nyasi Maharaj

"It was very diverse: some sat silently, some were doing various poses of hatha yoga, some were circumambulating, some were wandering around observing, some were making offerings of various types to the centre of the circle, many were prostrating in various ways, some were specially dressed and some were walking around with sage. The diversity of this gathering made the mood of reverence even more intense; present with this reverence was a strong feeling of universal tolerance that each one of us had for everyone else's path." - Damien

The large gathering is silent. The devotees in one large group, many chanting their rounds in anticipation for the celebration to begin and the silence to end.
Hari Vallabha Prabhu lined up, and in the distance there is line up of people that encompass the perimeter of the meadow.

"Although mostly holding various conceptions of humanity or motivated spirituality, there was a palpable widespread appreciation of the Krishna conception, with surprising numbers discerning the uniquely substantial philosophy and happy practising life of the devotees of the Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math." - Sripad Nyasi Maharaj

All of the devotees are lined up as the circle initiates the chanting of the syllable "OM" 3 times.Ther's nothing quite like hearing thousands of people chant OM all around you. - Damien
Everyone begins calling out and celebrating... AND THEN...
...Ecstatic Harinam Sankirttan begins led by Krishna Sundar Prabhu who added to the celebration with a loud and all encompassing kirttan.

So many become enraptured and lovingly dance and chanted.
